THE NEW ​HUDSON HIDEAWAY
 
TOURIST CABINS PROJECT

IN MARCH 2023, Castlemore Holdings Mima, LLC (Juntao "Tommy" Yan, in conjunction with Derek Leung) submitted a
Special Use Permit (SUP) for a campground referred to as Yan Wellness Retreat & Campground.  They withdrew that application in October 2023.  The proposed plan did not meet many zoning points without the approval of multiple zoning variances.

Proceeding the withdrawal of the campground SUP application, they submitted a NEW Special Use Permit (SUP) application for TOURIST CABINS that fall under the Town's Zoning for Summer Cottage Colonies (under 123-13 Campgrounds & Hospitality Use Regulations), now known as HUDSON HIDEAWAYS. The SUP is so they would be able to build a commercial project in a residentially zoned area. 

 

The plan is the same footprint as the previously proposed campground, with number of cabins reduced from 47 to 39, and reintroducing the 1800 sq. ft. maintenance building that houses a 2 bedroom apartment.

The "Summer Cottage Colonies" zoning is much less restrictive than Campground regulations.  Regardless that the proposal is the same footprint, with the same concerns, this zoning has a much less restrictive protection for the environment and residents, regardless that the proposal is the same footprint as the campground.
